Pacific Islands fishing paradise offers brand new adventures for all anglers.
17 FEBRUARY 2010 SYDNEY (PITIC) ---- South Pacific Islands have always conjured up visions of adventure and this spirit is still strong in the twenty-first century.
There are very few unique adventures that are still undiscovered, but among the remote reefs and atolls of the Pacific, adventure is still to be found, with some of the best game fishing in the world recently discovered around the Marshall Islands, Kiribati and Niue.
Ride out into the vast seas and skies to challenge the wildest big game fish in the world. Lasso a Wahu by the tail, or mix the careful art of lagoon spear fishing with the thunderous, roaring exhilaration of snagging an enormous tuna out in the deep blue on an extreme South Pacific fishing adventure.
Discovered during recent business travels by the Pacific Island Trade and Investment Commission (PITIC), these virtually untouched fishing grounds are now accessible to Australian enthusiasts.
Anglers can take up the challenge of big game fishing for enormous tuna and barracuda, fish for groupers, snappers and reef runners, or try spear fishing and bone fishing as part of this Pacific fishing discovery.
PITIC has a mandate to contribute to the economic growth of the Pacific's island nations by encouraging and facilitating mutually beneficial trade and investment. During recent business travels to the Marshall Islands, Kiribati and Niue, PITIC became aware of the amazing opportunities for fishing that existed there. At the time no touring packages were on the market so PITIC decided to help local tourism and fishing operators put together some deals so that Australian travellers could share the experiences.
These packages are available online at www.pacificedgeadventures.com. PITIC will promote these great holidays at the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show in March. This expo is known as Australia's best event for keen fishermen. The trade show which will be held in Brisbane on the 19 – 21 March. …PNS (ENDS) |
